About me:Don Gallardo & How Far West play music that can be described as Alt-Country. A Country Music that combines: Rock, Folk, and American Roots all the way down to the last note with lyrics of love, small towns, the lonely highway, everyday life experiences, and making an honest living. Don Gallardo & How Far West have a sound that is familiar but very original where you can sense a wide variety of influences.

For years, Don had been silently flying under the radar in different bands playing Bluegrass, Rock n'Roll, Rock, & Acoustic Solo shows. One of his favorite performances was an acoustic set opening for Rosanne Cash at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. He drifted around California for years living north of Sacramento (Chico), San Francisco, Los Angeles and now feels like he really did find a home in Nashville. He claims “since the moment I got here people have helped me along the way. This place is truly magical with a sense of kindness. Strangers were extending hands and giving me gigs without really knowing my music. This city stole my heart.” Every road leads to someplace else. Don feels “I stopped in Nashville for a couple days eight years ago and all these roads I have traveled for all these years ended up leading me back to Nashville.”
