About me:I am a musician first (guitar, bass, composition, computers etc). I also paint. I majored in film but I don't make films anymore. I work as an independent web developer in the Pittsburgh area. I spend most of my free time and $$ going to see live music, and building out my studio.

Still looking for a bass player to possibly form a trio with myself and a drummer named Eli. If you play bass, like improvisational/exploratory music, and live in the pittsburgh area, hit me up!

Phish Tickets - Gimme gimme gimme!
Thu 3/10/2011 10:42AM
It's that time of year again... for the Phish ticket pheeding phrenzy. Everyone submits their ticket request, gets disappointed, and then crashes the Ticketmaster website on friday (that's tomorrow).

It's miserable outside, I'm sitting in my cubicle at work, and all I can think about is my summer tour plans.

I got my tix for Charlotte and Blossom, but was denied for all 3 nights of Bethel and the most important show (for me) which is Portsmouth. Believe me, I'm still going. The question is whether I will have tickets when I show up...

As always, folks are tossing around ideas for how to get the inside track when the rest of the tix go on sale tomorrow.

Some say call ahead, get someone from Ticketmaster on the line, and stall them with some bogus order for Justin Beaver tickets or whatever, then when 10 AM rolls around, say "You know, I changed my mind. I actually need tickets for these 5 Phish shows." I don't know if that's good advice or not, but I may try it, in tandem with a simultaneous internet approach.

My friends and I are coordinating a strategy which includes phone, internet, and feet on the ground at local Ticketmaster outlets. Thankfully I've got good pals in VA beach and that's close enough to Portsmouth that they should carry nTelos tix.

We may all fail, or we may end up with a bunch of extras. Right now is like the calm before the D-Day invasion, and the suspense is killing me...

My Next Show: Keller Williams at Mr. Small's. See u there...

...here we go!

So my first NLQP fest for this year was the recent Spring Hookah. Wow, it didn't rain! Everyone was geared up for The Big One, but somehow it didn't happen. We started speculating that Nelson has a
