Woodchucker's Profile

About me:The Woodchuck Festival of Music and Art is a grassroots organization founded in the spring of 2009 by a number of Eastern Illinois University students and local Charleston residents. It is a benefit concert designed to help the local and global community through music and art.

In August of 2009, 25 bands performed and 478 patrons came together to raise over $3,700 for the HOPE Women’s Shelter of East Central Illinois, the Society of St Vincent DePaul, and Youth with a Vision of Dennilton, South Africa.

Spring 2010- This year, we are committing our proceeds to CARE Animal Shelter, Catholic Charities of Coles, Douglas, and Edgar Counties, and efforts in Haiti- Cancelled due to rain, we apologize to the above charities. (read less)
