About me:Purple Overcoat was born after Denis "auditioned" with chopsticks on a half broken drum set in August 2005. They began playing anywhere someone wanted to throw a party and had their first official gig the beginning of January 2006. The new cover band quickly booked up leaving little time for much else but the Originals kept on coming. Purple Overcoat, from the first time with those chopsticks, knew they had found something special. Shawn always has a new song brewing. The band collaborates through many means, e-mail, the telephone and in person. Purple Overcoat feels rewarded when everything comes together and the crowd shows enjoyment for their work.
