About me:My name is Mark. I'm a bit of a floater...I don't really find issue with any one group of people. Several people have told me that I think too much. Several people have told me that I do not think enough. I have a selective memory. Since May of 2005, it has become even more discerning in terms of what it allows me to remember. Despite my ambiguious religious beliefs, I have spiritual qualities. Despite any errors in grammar and spelling you may find on this page, I would like to be an English teacher when I grow up. I enjoy dj'ing. I play saxophone. I participate in dramatic performances at my school. I enjoy watching the Discovery Channel while listening to acid jazz in hotel rooms in Ocean City. I am the literature fan in the Howard High It's Academic team. The coolest place I have ever been to is Boulder, CO. I am an usher at Merriweather Post Pavillion. I enjoy obscure independant and foreign films. Despite many of the items on this list, I try not to come off as pretentious. A very cool person once described me as a "Cultural Buddha." Who am I to argue?

General Interests:being a proud member of BBYO, playing the tenor saxophone while wearing dark sunglasses, watching quality films late at night, wearing sunglasses at 2 am, staring at lava lamps while listening to trip-hop, various tasty hot beverages(ie:coffee, chai, etc.), FUCKING PATUXENT, name-dropping at concerts in an ironic manner, meditating, writing mediocre stories about neurotic people, waking up at 6 am on a saturday to buy records and books, black lights, counting threads in carpet, watching the discovery channel, writing fake biographies of thomas pynchon in my head, watching several consecutive movies by the same director, eating tasty burritos from chipotle, wearing sandles in 30 degree weather, staying out late and waking up slightly out-of-sorts, audrey tautou's wonderful neck, the boondocks(both the show and comic), pacifism, self-depreciation to an extreme degree, clarity in the midst of confusion, finding interesting items in antique stores, making sweet love to scarlett johansson and natalie portman, rubber johnny, pondering discordia, finding inner peace, watching alice in wonderland while listening to the fiery furnaces
