Obrotherbobby's Profile

About me:The youngest one in a wild pack of wolves, I had what most would call a "different" upbringing. When the research expedition discovered me, I was brought back to civilization and taught the English language, as well as the other conventions of a normal, middle-class society. Somewhere along the way, I heard an old black bluesman playing the blues on an acoustic guitar in Avalon, Mississippi and I was hooked. His name was "Blind Joe Death" and his guitar was made from a babies coffin. Sad but true. I was transfixed by Blind Joe Death, riveted by his music. Eventually I became enamored of the vanishing railroads and the haunting sounds of moving freight trains across old steel railroad trestles spanning the mossy banks of Old Southern Rivers. To hear lonely train whistles off in the distance on a steamy summer night and crickets nestled in the rich black Loam of the Mississippi Delta. My interest in this led to picking up the guitar and re-tuning to an Open D. Sometimes an Open G. An Open C. Fingerstyle blues and bottleneck slide. However...After spending many years living a conventional life~ a somewhat urban life, I find something missing. I miss the wolves but
in the meantime life goes on......and music plays in my head like a prairie wind ceaslessly rustling the tall prairie grass under the endless cobalt blue Dakota sky.....
