About me:Montoj is a rock band that burst onto the Philly music scene in February of 2007... Most often Montoj is grouped in with the "Jam Band" scene because of the vast array of musical genres that they encompass. Montoj wants to focus its style more on tight composition and progresions that lead somewhere, as opposed to extended periods of non-climactic jams. Montoj always wants to keep the people entertained, the energy high and have fans wondering whats coming next!

Music means to me:Montoj has many inflluences, but is mostly inspired by bands like Sublime, Umphrey's McGee, 311, Phish, Yes, and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Montoj is pushing the limits of the status quo with interesting melodic progressions, beautiful guitar harmony interplay, and warm vocal blends.
General Interests:Montoj is currently in production of their premiere album expected to drop in January of 2008, but their fans have already fallen in love with their energectic live performances and their vast array of material.
