Marilyns on K street Downtown Sacramento Music Venue: Sat 2/26/2011 11:26AM; Marilyns on K would like to welcome everybody on Jambase to inquire about upcoming events and how to book your band at Marilyns. Located at the Corner of 9th and Kst, Marilyns is best sounding room in Sacramento for live entertainment. Although we do not serve food we offer quality Cocktails, Spirits, Micro Brews,Domestics and Imports. We are most well known for Jackie Greenes frequent performances over the years as he rose quickly from Open Mics to being a key part of Phil Lesh & Friends, Skinny Singers, his solo act and Jackie Greene Band. On one account a fan of Jackie flew out from New York just to see where he grew up and we had a nice conversation about his success. A brief run down of the scheduling at Marilyns on K: Closed Sunday and Monday with the exception of special events. Tuesdays we offer a No Cover Acoustic Performance Series called "WIRES & WOOD". Wednesdays we have live touring and local performers at a very low ticket price, generally 3 to 5 dollars. Thursday we have LIVE BAND KARAOKE, the only one in town where professional musicians back you up while you blow away the crowd with your amazing voice, Fridays and Saturdays are made for Dancing!
