About me: Inner Loop is a collective of DC jazz musicians whose project blends jazz-influenced improvisation with programming and looping. Inner Loop is heavily influenced by drum n bass, but each member brings extensive experience from the worlds of jazz, funk, reggae, rock, pop, folk, hardcore punk and whatever else they have run across in their individual careers with various artists. Live performances involve improvisational reinvention of pre-composed material sewn with spontaneous compositions. The seed of any member's musical idea may at any moment steer the group into a completely unexpected creation. The outcome is an organic exploration that yileds unique and fresh musical ideas with every performance.
