About me: I was born in '82 I live in NH I love live music. I've listened to Bob Marley since I was in 6th grade. I fell in love with the scene in '99 when I attended what was at the time the HUGE Vermont ReggaeFest. I didn't know at the time that I was witnessing the end of an era. These days I embrace a lot of the live bands incorporating electronica into their sounds. I feel like modern techno ironically has its roots in some of the very early reggae sound systems and DUB music. I really like to see the past meets the future, musically, wiht bands like STS9. I never used to like hip-hop because I didn't feel like I could relate to anything being rhymed about, but now I have found inspiration that too. And my statement on the Grateful Dead. they rule, they have left an amazing legacy, I'll listen to the dead any day, however musically, we have moved beyond that era. The world has changed, Music has changed, it hasn't necessarily gotten better but it is not stagnant and that is what I feel about greatful dead culture. I think we are in an era of smaller more intimate shows. I don't think any jamband will ever rise to the level of DEad or Phish and that is just fine by me.
