DoowahDiatribe's Profile

About me:...once lived three blocks from the corner of Haight and Ashbury in one of the Good Earth commune houses... um, well, I did get to hear the Dead (original lineup) at Winterland though they were better at the 1969 Miami Pop Festival except for the stage almost falling down (funny what you remember)
To be continued perhaps...
Oh, I recommend Don Feldner's book "Heaven and Hell" as not only is it a great Eagles tell-all, but Don tells a lot about his early days in Gainesville, Florida. I really didn't care that much that he's the one who taught Tom Petty how to play guitar...THE THING as relates to me most were the several paragraphs about Don's early band, Flow, and the band's driving force, John Winter - my Jr High friend and boy scout patrol leader who sorta ODed and broke a lot of dreams for a lot of folks, including Don Feldner....made me begin a meditation practice...whew!
