About me:Music has always been a driving force behind most anything I’ve done in my life. Towards the beginning of my college career I lived next door to a rockabilly band, and got first hand experience helping them put an album and tour together. Throughout this experience I met various local bands and realized that there really could be a future for me in rock and roll. I wrote a Special Major, in Music Promotion, and happily graduated from CSU Chico in 2003.
I was spending more and more free time seeing live music and hanging out at local venues, particularly one that was then called the Red Room. The owner kept noticing my connection and rapport with the band members, both local and touring, and how I helped hook them up with places to stay, new friends, networking opportunities, etc. He hired me on the spot to work as the booking agent/promoter. I booked close to 7 days a week while maintaining 15 units a semester and maintained an internship touring with a punk band. Yeah, no sleep for the rockin’.
Since I was booking some really great talent such as Throw Rag, DOA, Kinski, Eric McFadden Trio and the Epoxies, and the venue, then named Riff Raff, was under poor management, I decided to go out on my own. In 2003 Devil Kat Rock Productions was born. Also around that time I started managing a local hard rock band.
So it’s been over seven years now and, though I no longer manage bands, I am booking local, regional and national bands in various Northern California venues, booking US national tours for SST Records founder Greg Ginn, playing lead guitar in Trucker's Wife and as always, rocking harder than ever.
