The first show of many started for me at the Cow Palace in San Fran. 18 years old and remembering "this is a lot better then your typical Thanksgiving". Then on to Sacramento. This still stands as the best show (music wise) that I've witnessed. LA, Phoenix, then back to my hometown of San Diego. They played at the sports arena, which isn't known for the best sound, but, when you're front row who cares? I took my 14 year old brother to this show and we still talk about the "Ha, ha, ha!" opener. We met-up with Mike in the parking lot as he made the rounds. My buddy Sam requested a Mike's Song, as we hadn't heard it yet over the last few shows we'd seen. We got it. Unbelievable. Ran out of money and stamina. No Vegas for our crew. Still goes down as what I thought was Phish's prime. 96' or 97' was hot too.
(No spell check on this thing, sorry in advance)
