Quickly we've added two more~!
The Paradise is honored to announce a very special evening of acoustic music with Jack Lawrence and Jon Garon August 17th. 3008.

Jack Lawrence is heralded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the country. Referred to as an "acoustic powerhouse," his musicianship on the flat top guitar has mesmerized audiences for decades. Jack's style is eclectic, encompassing Americana, blues, bluegrass and "sophisticated folk." Jack is highly regarded in his most prominent role as partner to Doc Watson. The two musicians have traveled the country as a duo for over two decades, delighting audiences from coast to coast. Jack will be joined by Jon Garon. Jon is a fingerpicking specialist who spent many years traveling and performing with a number of nationally known traditional, folk and bluegrass artists. He performs frequently with Jack Lawrence.

This is a real thrill for me as Jack is on eof those pickers I have always wanted to see up close and personal like...

Our next show is also ana mazing guitar player. The Paradise will get funky on August 23rd as The Melvin Sparks Band brings it. If you don;t know Melvin's playing you should. There is a video on our web site @ www.paradisecenterforthearts.org

Our first show - contract signed
Well, we have comitted – on paper – to our first big concert at Paradise Center for the Arts. I am very excited to have The Kenny and Amanda Smith Band coming. They are great musicians and apparently very nice people as well.

The PCA is really following me out on a limb for these concerts, so I am feeling the pressure to make them work. I know that once people see the venue they will definitely want to come back. We just need to keep presenting bands that people want to see.

If there is anyone out there who wants to be involved in making this cool old theater the best venue in the state, please contact me...
