Colorado's pioneering slam-grass
band, Leftover Salmon, took an eight-year recording hiatus after the death of long-time bandmate Mark
Vann. May 22 marks the end of that hiatus with 'Aquatic Hitchhiker', Leftover Salmon's first album since
2004, its first with all original compositions and its first with 29-year-old banjo prodigy Andy Thorn.
Critics agree 'Aquatic Hitchhiker' is as sharply crafted as any album in the band's catalog and that it
firmly establishes Leftover Salmon as the influential slam-grass band that paved the way for String Cheese
Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band and others.
