Before he was in the earthshaking metal band High on Fire, frontman Matt Pike was pulling the reigns for groundbreaking stoner metal pioneers Sleep, which released the influential 'Sleep's Holy Mountain' (1992) and the posthumous 'Dopesmoker' (2003).

For years, Pike and his former bongmates -- bassist Al Cisneros (Om, Asbestosdeath) and Chris Hakius (Om, Asbestosdeath, the Sabians) -- kept their distance.
