JR Rudd JR Rudd is a songwriter and performer of contemporary folk music. He performs both solo and with other musicians in and around St Louis, MO. His debut album, "Red Oak and Ash" (2013), features 12 entirely acoustic, original songs with various local musicians. With inspirations from bluegrass and the jam band scene, JR Rudd performs both fast, metronome-like rhythms interchanged with skillful, melodic leads.
