Blue Lotus
Blue Lotus Featured in Relix magazine's bands "on the rise" in 2012, this up and coming rock and roll jam band is making waves across the west coast. Blue Lotus formed in 2011 after a chance encounter at the Oregon Country Fair between Brandelyn Rose and 16 year-old guitar prodigy Felix Blades, sparking a unique friendship and collaboration that attracted other local talented artists. The rhythm section composed of Mike Byrd on drums, and Peter Allen on percussion, side by side with Ben Bosse on the bass guitar, drive the band with their talent and ability to "lock in" tight, dynamic grooves that keep their audience shaking. Recently joined by Ron Puso (keyboards), Puso brings his own blend of what he calls "intergalactic soul" to the mix further enhancing the band's unique sound. Blue Lotus features original songs written and composed by Rose and arranged by Blades. Rooted in Rock and Blues, and experimenting with elements of Bluegrass, Jazz and Funk the band fuses styles, to create an extremely fun and danceable melodic hybrid. This group is already making lasting impressions with a growing west coast fan base, including radio play across several states. They have sold CDs internationally and have been singing their hearts out on the festival stages this summer including some sit in performances with JGB and Melvin Seals.
