The Soft Bombs
The Soft Bombs The Soft Bombs, based out of Nevada City, California, began in 2010 by guitarist and vocalist, Michael Padilla. With a handful of material originally intended for a solo album, Padilla started to record what would become The Soft Bombs self-titled debut which brings together sounds of psychedelic rock, electronic dance music and baroque pop. March of 2011 brought drummer, Ben Bodine, to The Soft Bombs family. His preciseness and enthusiasm on the drum kit provides an energy that gives the band their own rhythm and power. In August of 2011 keyboardist Ryan Brodie contributed the essential melodies and synth tracks formerly being sampled. In April of 2012, they released the album “Embrace The Light”, which spawned the top 40 single, "Midnight”. Soon after, a long time fan and friend of the band, Ryan Sheridan, would take the reins on bass to complete The Soft Bombs' line up. The band's live shows would become enhanced by colorful projections and extended dance-improvs that whip the audience into a frenzy. With several tours up and down the west coast, the band has captured fans and friends along the way. After the promotion of the first two albums via touring and radio play, they hit the studio for the first half of 2013 to produce their latest effort, "Altered Sierra", which was independently released in January of 2014 and was their first release to feature writing credits from all four members. The Soft Bombs continue to wow audiences up and down the west coast with their unique brand of rock and roll.
