Tightrope-walking between country and rock 'n' roll while leaving room for improvised jams, The Grand Ole Uproar's dubbed its "musical gumbo" Hippie Tonk. The Uproar's sound evokes the Texas twang of Waylon Jennings, the electric carnival of Dylan, the Grateful Dead's desire to improvise, as well as many countless other(and older) songs and artists in the American tradition.
