The Appleseed Collective

The Appleseed Collective is a 5-piece outfit from Ann Arbor, MI featuring resonator guitar, upright bass, violin, washboard, banjo, mandolin and vocal harmonies. Formed in late November of 2010 by guitarist Andrew Brown, violinist Brandon Smith, bassist Sophie Tulip and percussionist Vince Russo, they have played throughout the midwest and the east coast. With a newly complete lineup after the addition of banjo player Katie Lee, The Appleseed Collective began recording their debut studio album, Baby to Beast (March 2012).
