"With influences ranging from Therapy? and Tool to Leonard Cohen,
Radiohead and Hum, evoke has combined a complex rhythmic backdrop with
thoughful vocals and driving guitar. Powered by twins Jake and Jere
and bassist Jeff, the trio has been making original music for more
than ten years.
Besides his love of the electric guitar, Jere has been an accomplished
classical guitarist for over twelve years. He's the most poetic and
quiet of the band, although his vision has kept everyone together for
many years.
Jake is the band's artist ; besides playing basketball and being the
Doctor of Love, he finds time to create artistic marvels. Apart from
being a drummer / percussionist for over ten years, he is also an
accomplished singer / songwriter, also adept with an electric guitar.
Jeff has been the band's impromptu mixing engineer and technician for
many years now. He loves anything that makes you move, and has a soft
spot for folksingers Stan Rogers and Hugh Blumenfeld. Besides bass, he
loves to try to play percussion on anything, inanimate or not. In his
spare time, he loves photography.
Three friends, not all that out of the ordinary ... until they get on
