Announcing the debut of Empire Sound: a brand new project featuring Al Schnier (guitar), Jim Loughlin (bass), Sam Kininger (sax), Kirk Juhas (keys), & Corey Colmey (drums). Their instrumental, progressive funk rock is heavy on melodies & deep grooves. Though the new supergroup, featuring members of moe., soulive, & okemah has a classic sound that harkens back to classic vinyl of the '60s & '70s, there is an edge to it that would not be out of place on a modern day soundtrack.... more
