Teddy and Spencer went to Kindergarten together in LA. Andrew and Giuliano went to Kindergarten together in LA. Teddy moved to NY. Spencer and Teddy reunited to form Providence-based Potential Pillows in 2005. In 2009, old friend Giuliano was recording them in LA. His roommate Andrew walked in during a session and was asked to lay down some drums. They all sounded good together, and became a band.
