CAN'T HANG has "It"-the indescribable quality that draws people in. Is "it" the tight rhythm section, the booming bass, the unique punky-dub guitars? the reggae infused songs, with their smooth, soulful vocals and catchy melodies? Most likely it is the attitude of the band members themselves-four young men melding reggae-rock-ska-punk, all with a laid-back vibe that wins over listeners of any demographic.
CAN'T HANG's performances include sold-out nights at The Recher Theater in Towson, MD and at the legendary Mellow Beach Sunset Bar in Ocean City, MD.
They have supported such nationally-recognized acts as Busta Rhymes, Toots and the Maytals, Pepper, Long Beach Short Bus, The Pietasters, Inner Circle, Yellowman, 2 Skinnee J's, Don't Look Down, Jimmies Chicken Shack, Authority Zero, The Toasters, The Slackers, John Brown's Body, and are always sharing the stage with their good friends Jah Works.
The band is currently in regular rotation at Towson's 89.7 WTMD and was recently featured on the 98 Rock (97.9 Baltimore) Noise in the Basement Compilation CD. Drummer Joe Mysko has also recently signed a sponsorship deal with Maryland Drum Company.
CAN'T HANG has sold over 6,000 CD's without any label support, is touring nationally, is in pre-production for a brand new album, and is eager to do whatever it takes to achieve even more recognition.
