John Wesley Satterfield, of Chapin, SC, has been writing and performing music professionally for 5 years now. When he was 12, his father gave him his first guitar and began to teach him songs by the likes of Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, and Paul Simon. Following high school, a four year stint in the Coast Guard on the high seas of the North Atlantic gave John the life experiences that inspired him to begin writing songs of relative substance.
