Metaphysical Jones Metaphysical Jones is a high-energy psychedelic jam/rock band from Detroit, MI. Mj has established a notoriety among a growing sub-culture of open minded music fans. The band has developed a new color of improvisational jazz inspired jam rock, which has a truly unique sound. The music incorporates flavors of rock, funk, bluegrass, blues, and jazz-fusion all with a psychedelic twist. Through prior projects and past influence, the four musicians have gelled into the entity known as Metaphysical Jones. Metaphysical Jones is Brett Dodson - Bass Guitar/Vocals, David Gullo - Guitar/Vocals, Michael Medvinsky - Drums/Percussion/Vocals, and Stephen Roginson - Guitar/Harmonica/Mandolin/Vocals. Mj performs a wide range of original material, as well as a fine mix of eclectic covers that appeals to any audience. The environment at a Jones show reflects a mutual respect between the band and all who watch and listen. Shows can include acoustic sets, guest appearances, stage antics, and a complete lighting show. Metaphysical Jones travels with a full sound system as well as an extensive lighting set-up with a crew to run it all.
