The music of Maxell was founded by Rak Dettelback (guitar/vocals) and Tye Warner (guitar/vocals) during the cold winter months of 2003 in Truckee, CA. The heavy rhythms and sounds etched by the duo have progressed into a unique sonance lying deep inside of the pocket. Maxell's driving sound is anchored by Andrew Baird (drums), Logan Parker (bass), and Rickard Nilsonn (keys/harmonica).
