Trey Stein
Trey Stein "I deeply feel that it's my calling in life to show the masses that there's an art to turntables and there's more music out there than what's played on the radio. I got my first record player around the age of five and was totally mesmerized by the way music, at a young age, had such a deep impact on my soul."

"I grew up playing records and listening to the radio until high school and that's when I discovered the sounds Herbie Hancock, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis. I played guitar along to their songs and was completely blown away by the complexity of the soloing. I could play any song on guitar after hearing it once but it took me months to figure out what Miles, Charlie and Herbie were doing off the top of their heads in one take. It totally blew me away and I decided to start digging deeper into music to find out why it was so hard to figure these guys out."

After moving to Nashville in the late 1990's to pursue a career in music, Stein quickly dug in to the scene and landed a job playing with Hank Williams III. "It was a great experience at the time. It was my first exposure to playing on a national circuit, riding a tour bus and getting paid good money to do what I love. I was totally hooked! Williams was really supportive of incorporating the DJ aspect in to the live shows. We played two weeks with the Melvins and did the Vans Warped Tour."

After fifteen years in Nashville, Trey Stein has returned to the Gulf Coast looking to inject turntablism in to the current music scene. "I'm having the time of my life right now. I've got an huge bag of new music that none here has ever heard and I'm the first one to expose these hidden gems. It's been a rush watching peoples reactions . It's just a matter of time before this thing blows up here."
