Something is happening in Ohio -- something that is turning heads, tapping toes and stirring up quite the commotion. If you haven’t already heard of The Stagecoach Robbery then you probably aren’t from the greater Eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania area. The Stagecoach Robbery is cooking up some of the freshest sounds and original tracks ever to come from the Midwest. This band is made up of four eclectically talented musicians that were destined to play music together. Marc “Quimby” Dreher provides kick ass rhythms on bass guitar, Seth Swegheimer kills it on the drums, John McCarron does things with a lead guitar that you didn’t knew were possible, and lastly, front man, Tristan Ankrom sums up the quartette with his soulful, raw vocal ability which transcends throughout venues and acts as the cherry to this jam band sundae.
With an intrinsic rock element that supercedes your typical “jam band,” The Stagecoach Robbery stands firm as the only group in a genre so uniquely their own. In this genre you will hear influences from the 1960’s and 70’s rock era, to a contemporary and fresh spin on sounds made popular by bands such as, Primus, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and moe. The Stagecoach Robbery has been debuting their talent and reaching capacity in venues far and near. Starting with quaint local festivals, the group dug their roots very deep in the Ohio valley soil. However, Stagecoach has recently begun to explode in popularity providing the opportunity to share their music with other reaches of the area.
