Camaron Ochs
Camaron Ochs When Camaron was born she was about the size of a glass mustard jar. Small enough in fact, that her proud father carried her home in his front shirt pocket that first afternoon as he sang out to the world to share the news of her arrival. Fortunately for us all, the close proximity of Camaron’s teeny-tiny ears to her father’s resonating chest left her with a strong association between music and happiness.

As she grew, she began vibrating her own vocal chords to recreate that feeling of belonging. By the time she entered high school, she could sing in over fourteen different languages (thanks to an organization called Contra Costa Children’s Chorus). She spent the next few years meandering around the globe, immersing herself in cultural studies and various musical projects. It was only in 2009 that she decided to put together a solo album of original songs. Camaron released her first record “Heartforward” in January 2010 to a sold-out crowd at Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco. In just a month following the release, the record's single "You Were Late" had already made it onto the airwaves via KFOG San Francisco. Critics have acknowledged her as a "local gem" with a "velvet touch", applauding the record and commending its "pretty vocals, charming lyrics... Heartforward is classic singer/songwriter stuff." In March, she was voted "Artist of the Month" at SF Deli Magazine and was featured in the SF Bay Guardian.

In light of the immense support for her first album, Camaron has begun working on a new EP to be released in the Fall of 2010. Get ready, cause you are gonna dig it.
