Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside Sallie Ford is originally from Asheville, NC. She moved to Portland, OR in October 2006, where she started writing songs soon after. In April 2007, she met Ford Tennis, Tyler Tornfelt and Jeff Munger and they became her back-up band! After releasing her "Not An Animal" EP, Sallie Ford and the Sound Outside were chosen by The Avett Brothers to open for them for six shows on their summer west coast tour.
