Brittany Shane
Brittany Shane There are perhaps four or five record albums in your life that you've listened to for the very first time and something happens. You are in love. With the singer. With the band. With the songs. And with the way it feels and sounds. Is it presumptuous to predict 'Have Heart Live Young', from Brittany Shane, will be added to that list? I suggest you listen and decide. But first, let me share just a bit of 'insider' information.

To meet Brittany Shane the singer is to experience someone who lives very much in the now, but isn't all that far away from her childhood in a small Wisconsin town. That's what the the inspiration and stories for her songs derive from. "My dad always reminds me to look around since there are many simple things that can make you smile." says Brittany. "Back home we still have the Alpine Restaurant on the Square and fields of sunflowers."

Those formative years were followed by a lot of hard work and paid dues. 'Have Heart Live Young' is the positive result of eight years of non-stop performing in San Francisco (and beyond.) It's a work of rock and roll passion from songwriter Brittany Shane, her band, producer Zack Smith (founder of iconic 80's band Scandal) and Grammy-nominated mix engineer Joe Chiccarelli.

Recorded in San Francisco with additional sessions in New York and Los Angeles, the record features songs that are the result of a group of musicians that are either in love with Brittany Shane, or were caught on a rare day off from their regular gigs.

Among them:
Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers)
Jessy Greene (Foo Fighters)
Jim Bogios (Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow)
