Flowmotion
Flowmotion Seattle-based band Flowmotion “unifies crowds with its vocal melodies, harmonies and stellar rhythm section. (They) move seamlessly through original compositions with a liberating mixture of world-funk, jam-rock and sweet balladry that beg total abandonment of self.” (Tacoma Weekly)

Formed in 1999 on Washington State’s San Juan Island, Flowmotion has become a staple in the Northwest independent music scene drawing capacity crowds and hosting a 3-day festival, the Summer Meltdown. This summer was the 7th Annual, drawing over 3,000 people to the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.

Their live performances are renowned for their infectious energy, stellar musicianship and packed dance floors – the band offers an inspiring sound that keeps crowds moving while refueling them with a positive message. Fronted by singer/songwriter Josh Clauson (electric and acoustic guitars, vocals), with RL Heyer (electric and slide guitar, vocals), Sabu Miyata (bass), Scott Goodwin (drums, vocals) and Bob Rees (percussion, vibraphone), Flowmotion’s expertly controlled grooves harness the power of their heady, funky rock & roll.

“Is That Right,” the groups’ sophomore effort (2007), showcases the quintet’s fusion of styles

while demonstrating their formidable songwriting with the radio-friendly single, “Wild Eyes.”

“Flowmotion may be a Northwest gem, but through constant live shows they have matured into stage veterans about to break onto the national scene.” (Relix Magazine)
