Asleep in a Box is a psychedelic electro-rock band hailing from Boston, MA. The sound they craft is constantly evolving, from thumping bass and chilled out grooves, to searing guitars and malicious soundscapes. With sets that range from fast driving rock to facemelting electro, and even into freakout jam sessions, this band is turning heads all over the Northeast. Asleep in a Box will keep the crowd moving, and always has something unexpected waiting for listeners just around the next corner.
With a slew of self released EPs, and a 2009 full length release “Drug Money Women Guns” on their own label Computer Rock Music, these guys take their business seriously. They just finished up their second full length release, “Driving a Motorcycle Through a Bear”, in April 2010, also on the Computer Rock Music label.
“Asleep in a Box, not to be confused with that song sung by Justin Timberlake on “Saturday Night Live” (that was something else in a box, wasn't it?), ... plays electro-rock that sounds like the future - or the soundtrack to a good 1980s movie.” -Meredith Goldstein, Boston Globe, April 26th, 2008
“Asleep in a Box claim to “play music that is constantly arousing and stimulating all of your senses…We will music the pants off of you. Mostly because we hate pants.” Can you resist the dare of pants off music? Thought not.” -Staff, Worcester Magazine, Jan 28th, 2009
