Four Normanites (Mack Burke, Kiel Dehnert, Zane Russell, Scott Strandberg) started jamming in 2006 and after many loud nights formed a band. They called themselves Galapagos after the Kurt Vonnegut novel of the same name. After almost a year of musical deliberation, and the addition of keyboardist Adam McFarlane, Galapagos made their live debut at the Waka Winter Classic in January 2007.
