Fox N Hounds
Fox N Hounds Picture a traditional bluegrass ensemble pickin' away in the moonlight but instead of boys from the mountains of Virginia think of local rockers from all walks of musical life. Fox N Hounds keeps the laments and ballads of Bluegrass music but also brings a lively addition. It's Bluegrass music of the now. Songs from the old hills and for the new city-- full of excitement and adventure, love and despair, and occasionally unhealthy appetites. Although just finishing its fledgling year, Fox N Hounds is already spreading the sound across Central Ohio to the ears of listeners eager for something new. The Fox N Hounds are:

STEVEN FOX lead vocals, mandolin, ukelele Current other projects ~ The Spikedrivers, Neil Jacobs and American Gypsy Although best known for his prowess on the upright bass, this classicaly trained musician will give you just as big a sound with his little mando and uke. Also Fox showcases his sideburn-curling songwriting skills.

ADAM SCHLENKER lead guitar, banjo Formerly of ~ Bucktown Kickback Once a staple of the blues scene spanning the country, Schlenker found his way home to the music he grew up with. To watch Schlenker's fingers while he plays his his lightning-fast licks is like watching a river flow over fallen trees. Amazing. And it sounds even better.

AARON SNYDER rhythm guitar, vocals Current other projects ~ Host of Bluegrass Jam at Dick's Den A long time member of the Columbus music scene, Fox N Hounds is Snyder's first time in a band but you'll never guess when you hear him play, not to mention when you hear his sweet crooning.

MARK MILLER upright bass, vocals Current other project ~ Chris McCoy Not only does Mark bring a strong rhythmic background from the Indie rock scene, he brings down-home bass pluckin' that will have you stomping your feet in time.

TOM BEARDSLEE dobro, vocals Currently seeking his PHD in Ethnomusicology The newest addition to the ranks, Beardslee brings a wealth of knowledge to the group. His studies in Africa provide his dobro playing with a wordly feel that speaks to the soul.
