Dead Again played their first show to celebrate Jerry Garcia's birthday on August 1, 2009, at the Cadieux Cafe in Detroit. Since they have headlined a handful of shows in the Detroit area, most notably the Magic Bag (Halloween 2009) and Magic Stick (Jan 2010), their following growing with each show, out of mutual respect for the music of the Grateful Dead.
