29th Division

Members of Seven Pound Star and Southside Funk, among other projects, brought together in 2008 to piece together fresh jams and deep experimental funk. A regular weekly gig at Cary St. Cafe has been the proving ground for this outfit, honing tunes and sharpening improv skills over deep sets of music. We've had the pleasure of featuring a number of opening acts, sharing the stage with such talent as the Former Champions, Central Garage, members of 11th House and Grinding Stone and many more. Building on initial successes, we look forward to the future.... more
