Informed by the music of the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan,Neil Young and others the Thugz bring the musical spirit of the 60's to the 21st century. Don't let the name fool you. Originally a blues band, the Thugz have evolved into a unique jam based dance band. Our fans like to call us the "Tribal Hippie Underground Zone". Presently we are the house band at the historic Pink Elephant in Monte Rio California. We have a unique instrumental sound and three part vocal harmonies. No two shows are exactly the same.

Selists:
Our sets are put together on the spot to fit the atmosphere of each gig. Usually we play sets lasting from 1 to 1/2 hours long. Songs come from our original material and classic Americana and jam band tunes. We also can do over 4 hours of Grateful dead material.
