Comments came pouring in from everywhere, from the unsaved and unchurched, to the believers, singing the praises of Cynthia, and finally having a genre of neo soul gospel, without having to compromise lyrically for music they love and want to hear. ?Soulology? hit the airwaves hard, ranking on the Top 20 song charts for several weeks in the Gospel USA Magazine of the track ?Live Right?. The indeed soulful songstress had a busy year in 2006, from receiving the Prestige Award for Female Vocalist of the Year of the North Carolina Announcer?s Guild, and shooting her first music video ?Gotta Soul? from the Gotta Soul CD, to being one of the featured artist on several major concerts, such as the ?Hero Tour? with Kirk Franklin, Men of Standard, and Da Truth, The ?Night of Praise and Worship Concert? with Fred Hammond and Martha Munizzi and Open Ear Christian Entertainment?s ?Super Sundays? with Lisa McClendon and Debra Killings. In addition to her music career, Cynthia added movie credits to her name with the use of ?Live Right? as a soundtrack in the movie ?Divine Intervention?, which released in the Fall of 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia. Cynthias? continued success today was imminent to happen as she began her journey in the church at a very young age giving her life to Christ. She was the daughter of a minister and the occasional church pianist, organist, drummer, and praise and worship leader. In the year of 2000, Cynthias? hard work and the fruits of labor began to pay off with the release of her debut project ?Almost Midnight?; this project caught the eyes of BET?s Dr. Bobby Jones of the Bobby Jones Gospel Show. Many doors opened for Cynthia after that. She began to open for several major gospel artists in the music industry such as Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence, Fred Hammond, Helen Baylor and many more. By the year of 2003, she released her sophomore project ?Turn To You?. This CD showed Cynthia as a more seasoned artist; she became a featured act with Tonex and then went on to sign with JAM Christian Concerts to tour with Kirk Franklin and Out of Eden on the Paramount?s Theme Park Tours. Today the Raleigh, NC native has an all female motorcycle ministry, ?The Soul Patrol?. Cynthia is a veteran motorcyclist who has ridden her Kawasaki ZX11 to the Annual Myrtle Beach Bike Week event to witness and minister to multitudes of souls through her music. She believes there are no limitations or boundaries when it comes to winning souls. She is an active member of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Patrick L Wooden Sr. and she is on the radar alert as one of gospels? fierce ladies of neo soul that is reaching the lost in untapped areas through her genre of music.
