An improvised journey forged on friendship and spiritual connection has led Tommy Eisner (Guitar / Vocals) and Linda Beecroft (Drums / Vocals) back to Brooklyn where their story began. Golden Animals formed in 2006, when a chance meeting led the pair to recognize a strong undefined chemistry as people and artists. After years of country-wide performances and a long stint touring the UK, they have returned to New York to finish their new album Here Eye Go.
Early in their career, their psychedelic blues style was quickly noticed on the West Coast - where they lived for a period of time based nomadically in the Desert, forming the core of their art. Citing artists such as The White Stripes, Kinks and Bob Dylan as inspiration, Golden Animals pride themselves on being inwardly lead artists following intuition, focusing primarily on their love for timeless songs and passionate performances.
After completing their new LP in Brooklyn with Matt Boynton (MGMT / Kurt Vile) & Joe LaPorta (Foo Fighters / Beach House), they enlisted guitarist John Brodeur & Bassist Kristin Fayne-Mulroy to join the band and are now officially a 4-piece. Their first LP, "Free Your Mind And Win A Pony" produced by Chris Coady (TV On The Radio, Grizzly Bear) received praise from Pitchfork, Mojo, New York Magazine, Paper, V, Spinner, I Guess I'm Floating & NPR. Their new LP Hear Eye Go is the culmination of year's effort and an apt title for a band at the point of launch for heavy touring and a new dimension of psychedelic exploration.
