Two Sheds
Two Sheds Last year, Two Sheds front woman Caitlin participated in an interview for Crazy Talk, an online music journal. This is what she had to say about the beginnings of Two Sheds, and we think it sums things up pretty nicely:

Two Sheds“Well, in the fall of 2003, Rusty Miller(our drummer) and John Gutenberger (our bass player) were both experiencing a lull in their other bands' playing and recording schedules. (Rusty sings and plays guitar in Jackpot,Johnny plays bass in Jackpot and sings and plays guitar in Milwaukee). I had spent the summer acquainting myself with the drums, and the three of us decided to start playing together, just for fun. I would hammer away at the drums, Russ would play guitar, and Johnny would play bass. We were just looking for something to do on weeknights, really. And we had a natural musical chemistry. Well, I had played guitar for a while (about 4 years), and Johnny was always encouraging me to write songs. Some time in 2004 I actually did write a song, and then more songs followed quickly. We started practicing the songs together - I switched to guitar/vocals and Rusty got behind the drum set. His first instrument was drums, so it was an easy transition. We goofed around for a while and then Johnny booked us our first show in February of 2005. Ever since then, we've been getting shows every month. It's pretty startling, really.”

Two Sheds has played regularly over the course of the last year in the Sacramento and bay area with the likes of: Victoria Williams, Luca, the Chapin Sisters, Tim Bluhm (The Mother Hips), Jackpot, Scout Niblett, Kevin Secondsand the Golden Shoulders. They are currently in rotation on both Davis college radio station KDVS, 90.3 and local Sacramento rock station KWOD, 106.5.
