Patrick Sweany
Patrick Sweany Having immersed himself in his Dad's extensive record collection, Pat's been described as a musical omnivore, devouring every popular music sound of the last 70 years and mixing them all together seamlessly to create a sound that isn't a copy at all, but strictly his own.

It wasn't long before his intricate country blues style - part Piedmont picking, part Delta slide - and equally impressive deep, smooth vocal style, drew the attention of notables like Jimmy Thackery, who asked him to tour with him, and Roy Book Binder, the acoustic music director of MerleFest, who arranged for him to make his first appearance at this well-known blues festival and then introduced him to his long-time friend, Jorma Kaukonen. As a result, Pat has landed a perennial slot at Jorma's legendary Fur Peace Ranch, among other guitarists such as G.E. Smith (Saturday Night Live Band), Bill Kirchen (Commander Cody and His Planet Airmen) and Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters Band).

Pat now plays over 150 shows a year, entertaining audiences all over the United States with his huge voice and trademark style.
