Initially formed as an informal recording project by high school friends Steven LaFashia and Michael Leavy, the immediate local reaction to the two friends' demos called for the formation of a proper band, with Shane Rozum and later David Sikorski joining on drums and bass. Building upon their growing following in 2004 with relentless local and regional shows, the band was simultaneously recording its work in its basement studio.
