The Square Boys The Square Boys hail from the ghettoes of North & South Redford twp. Detroit's west side suburb that was once home to the gang the "Square Boyz" who were a vicious mob of middle-schoolers that, if you were lucky, would "beat you in." Anyway, both Matt and Ryan have been in several bands since those days and have since joined forces to create a working band that blends rock, funk, blues, jazz, reggae, bluegrass, & more! With a strong blues background, Matt brings the slide guitar, soulful songwriting & vocals to the mix with Ryan's funky, on-time bass guitar, he also shares song writing duties; along with "Memphis" Pete on the keys & vocals and Danzell keepin' the pace on the skins.
