Wendy Darling
Wendy Darling Wendy Darling is an energetic, young band formed in San Diego. Originally visualized as an acoustic singer-songwriter duo (Cori Rush - vocals, Nate Heller- guitar, vocals), the pair had instant musical chemistry and began writing songs at a lightning pace. As they developed their sound, Wendy Darling realized their music deserved fuller arrangements, and they sought out other musicians to help hone the style. The band found its full lineup with the addition of Jon Freeman (bass, synth) and Hector Verdugo (drums, piano). Since then, Wendy Darling have reintroduced their soulful indie rock sound to audiences, playing cafes and house parties as well as rocking major Southern California venues.

Wendy Darling have continued to fine-tune their style, incorporating more complex instrumentation (including banjo, glockenspiel, samplers and accordion), but focused on keeping Cori's sultry, honey-dripped vocals the essence and forefront of the band. The resulting live show and forthcoming CD are a blend of indie rock, soul, and folk, with ouches of electronica as well as vintage psychadelic. There is sincerity, innocence and joy in the music that comes from Wendy Darling. This band loves to share their music and their excitement is contagious.
