It isn't everyday that five seasoned local musicians bump into each other
through other projects with the same passion for a band - a band that has
influenced their playing and their approach to music. However, this was the
case with the musicians in Gilmour's Breakfast. Each member of the band
cites Pink Floyd as one of their favorite and most influential bands. It
only seemed natural to work as a Pink Floyd tribute band playing homage to
their childhood idols.
Gilmour's Breakfast is: Rob Taylor (vocals), David Beccia (Guitar & Vocals),
Ed Hannon (Keys, sounds and vocals), Bob Cooper (bass), Pete Dayotas (drums)
and Martin Stewart (guitar, lap steel). Every musician (from their late 20's
to 40's) brings years of experienced playing to the table.
The group has an established Pink Floyd and Gilmour's Breakfast fan base.
Each live performance includes period musical gear, laser light shows, and
intelligent/moving lighting. With a constantly revolving set list
representing Pink Floyd from their earliest recorded effort (1967's Piper at
the Gates of Dawn) through their final release (1994's The Division Bell),
any die-hard Pink Floyd fan will be pleased to hear a few deep tracks while
the casual listener will recognize plenty of FM hits. Gilmour's Breakfast is
sure to please all listeners with their live performance.
