Scarlet Mountain began in December 2006 with a very simple plan – perform great music and have a great time knowing that the positive energy coming off-stage is very contagious.
More than a tribute, Scarlet Mountain is a Grateful Dead musical experience! It is our goal to get people dancing and feeling good through our music, mood and energy.
The band is comprised of seasoned musicians who have been playing in and around Chicago for many years. As the group came together we quickly realized our unique styles and backgrounds and put those to good use within Scarlet Mountain. At a show you will hear hints of jazz, R&B, reggae and funk tastefully intertwined within the music.
It is with Grateful Dead's same level of passion for integrating diverse music and our love of their original music that we bring you Scarlet Mountain.
