Glean Infusion
Glean Infusion Glean Infusion combines various genres of music because each member comes from a different musical upbringing, but all sharing the same interest to make music together. Having been in the Grand Rapids scene for about two years, but not together with the name Glean Infusion. Jason is currently in the band Hawks & Owls, a traditional string band. This style of music gives him the chance to play electric and expand his musical knowledge. Dan, Adam, and Paul were three original members of the instrumental band Live Bait (their 1st band). During the time of Live Bait, the three progressed their chemistry, so it benefits a strong rhythm section. While Live Bait was playing around Brian Hayk was playing shows in his 1st band Avagadro. When Live Bait and Avagadro broke up Brian and Paul joined the band Black Rose & the Disciples of Funk. Dan and Adam started playing music with Jason, but shortly after Adam moved to California, and Dan moved to Kalamazoo. When Adam moved back to Grand Rapids, him and Paul immediately got to work on a new project. Started Glean Infusion as a band that had different musicians during every show, sometimes doing jazz gigs and sometimes doing rock gigs with original and cover songs. Eventually we found the lineup we really liked for the band which is where it stands for now (unless a horn player or keyboardist comes about). With the set lineup, we put in two months of practicing together before playing our 1st show at the Intersection at the for the Spring Jamaroo. Now it's time to start pushing for more shows, and always focusing on getting a better recording during every practice/shows. Because when playing live, we always leave good space for improv. Now we're happy about where we're at and glad to see the fans we developed coming together!
